If you try to record audio on your desktop or notebook computer, at the same time as playing back audio, you may find that the recorded audio is distorted and of poor quality.
If you intend students to listen and record at the same time, it is important they they use headphones. This will stop the audio playback entering the microphone.
But even so, you will likely end up with audio distortion. This is because, unlike mobile phones, most desktop or notebook PCs were not designed for simultaneous audio playback and recording.
But it is possible to configure the audio capture so that distortion does not occur. In the Cloud Poodll Assignment Settings, look for "Disable Audio Noise Filters."
When this setting is checked, audio capture will not be affected by audio playback. Use this in situations like shadowing or singing/playing with background music.
