The Cloud Poodll question type allows you to collect audio and video recordings from students as responses to quiz questions. The recordings are stored in the cloud and can be automatically transcribed.
Creating a Cloud Poodll question
There are several ways to access the "add a new question" page. Perhaps the easiest is by clicking "Edit quiz" in the administration block from the top page of the quiz. In the Boost theme, there are usually no blocks. Instead you can access this menu from the little cog icon on the top right hand side.
And then i) Add ii) a new question
Choose the "Cloud Poodll Question" and press the "Add" button
Configuring a Cloud Poodll question
Enter the question name and instructions to be shown to students, as in most other question types.
A little further down the page, choose whether the student should record audio or video
Finally there are a series of options. The defaults are likely to be ok. If you set up auto transcription then you should choose the correct speaker language(region). And be aware that "Fast transcription" only works for audio less than 60 seconds. So in that case consider setting a time limit of less than 60 seconds.
Grading a Cloud Poodll question
Cloud Poodll questions are manually graded. To access their recordings for grading, from the quiz top page expand "Results" in the quiz administration block. And choose Manual grading.
